What is Vector Art?

Graphics fall into to two main categories:

  1. Vector graphics
  2. Bitmap (Raster) graphics
The difference between these two types is what they're made up of. Vector graphics are made up of lines and curves. Bitmap graphics are made up of little squares called pixels. A Vector image is made up of computer code that writes the code each time the image is scaled. There are a few limitations when converting bitmap images to vector. Click Here to learn more.
